En route vers l'Est et...musiqueS !

We are proud to announce our first event since the CD is finished. On Thursday February the 17th we are programmed in the cultural agenda of the Library of Bayonne.  We will have a chance to meet the audience in Bayonne to talk about our musical encounters during our trip in Eastern Europe. 

The add about our event can be found in the Cultural Magazine "à l'affiche" which is published in French every two months in this region.

Dear reader,

We created this blog 10 months ago and we have been travelling for the last two months realizing this inter-cultural project. We arrived at the stage, that we would like to obtain your opinion about our blog.

Since its creation, the main objectifs of this blog are:

- show the beginning stage of an intercultural project

- give a visibilty of our project to all (potential) partners

- create a place for dialogue (through the comments), with our family, friends, the musicians and every other person that we encounter during our trip.

Our choice was to describe our journey in a chronological and geographical order. This choice has not been thought about in the beginning it came naturally ones we started relating our adventures. We try not to make our blog ressemble to much a reality tv show, so we do not talk about everything. But at the same time, we do not limit ourself to write only about the music we record and the musicians we encounter.

Since the beginning of our project, music is considered a vector, a means of communication and the red line through our voyage. Not only because we like music, but also we realize that it favors inter-cultural communication. More than anything, music is expression of one’s soul, one’s  personality and one’s culture. Therefore we are happy to provide a special place to music on our blog. But we also wanted to give our impression of the countries we visited, the people we encounter, the wine and food we taste. With the purpose to make you travel with us, (hopefully) dream a little bit and maybe inspire you to realize a similar project.

Hopefully we made it clear to you that this blog has been created and is updated for you!!

Cher lecteur, voilà 10 mois que ce blog a été créé  et bientôt deux mois que nous nous sommes partis réaliser notre projet interculturel.

A ce stade , nous avons voulu te consulter, afin de savoir ce que tu penses de ce blog. Les objectifs  de création de ce blog étaient au départ :

      - montrer la genèse d'un projet interculturel

      - avoir une fenêtre de visibilité pour nos partenaires potentiels

      - constituer une fenêtre de dialogue (via les commentaires), avec nos amis, les musiciens ou personnes que nous rencontrons pendant notre voyage, et toute personne intéressée.

Nous avons choisi de relater notre voyage de manière descriptive,  chronologique et géographique. Un peu à la façon d'un journal de bord. Ce choix n'est pas le résultat d'une réflexion, il s'est plutôt imposé naturellement à nous.  Nous essayons de ne pas tomber dans le "tout montrer, tout raconter", sans non plus nous limiter uniquement à ce qui touche à la musique.

Pour nos amıs non francophones, le blog est bılıngue. Harriette ecrit en anglaıs, Olivier en francaıs. Nos contenus respectıfs peuvent se repeter, maıs ıl s'agıt d'artıcles differents, puisque chacun de nous deux ecrit avec son propre ressentı.

Le blog se lit de "bas en haut" le dernier article posté apparaissant toujours en premıer.

La musique est ici à la fois un moyen et une fin.

Une fin parce que nous aimons profondément la musique, toutes les musiques.

Un moyen parce qu'elle est un excellent vecteur de rencontre et de communication, tout particulièrement en milieu interculturel. La musique est avant tout l'expression de l'âme, de la personnalité, et de la culture. Aussi pourrions-nous nous contenter de lui attribuer l'exclusivité sur ce blog. Mais nous avons voulu aussi donner nos impressions sur les pays que nous visitons, parler des gens que nous rencontrons,  de la cuisine et des vins que nous goûtons...et ainsi te faire voyager un peu, rêver beaucoup (on espère !), peut-être donner envie de réaliser un projet similaire....

Tu l'auras compris, ce blog a été fait pour toi.  Nous aimerions donc avoir ton avis, de manière libre et ouverte, sur le thème que tu voudras, sur le contenu ou sur la forme de ce blog. Pour cela, c'est très simple, cliques sur "écrire un commentaire" au bas de cet article.
