This is a video of Mladen Vulas, a Croatian artist, who lives in Split. He is a painter, but during his studies, he made a few videos. This one shows us a bit of the Split life, with it's fish market, local art including a Klapa band and other stuffs. We kindly thank Mladen who gave us his videos and authorized its diffusion.

Voici une vidéo d'un groupe de Klapa, pendant le festival Oj' More Duboko, à Solin, Croatie. Le concert à lieu dans un gymnase. Etant donné la très grande taille de la salle, il y a une forte reverb mais le son était de bonne qualité et l'acoustique pas si mauvaise. Nous avons réalisé de nombreuses prises de son lors de ce festival, vous en retrouverez certainement une sur le CD... Nous n'avons malheureusement ni le nom du groupe ni celui du morceau.
Please have a look at the following video recording of a band singing the "klapa", traditionnal songs from Croatia. This is a all men choir and as we said in our earlier articles there were also choirs with only women. The voices are marvelous, don't you think ??

Voici une video realise pendant un concert du groupe Tribun Band au club Oxygene, Mostar, Bosnie, en novembre 2009. Nous n'avons pas le nom du morceau mais nous esperons que vous pourrez gouter un peu de la chaude ambiance qu´il y avait dans la salle ce jour la. Tribun band est un groupe originaire de Sarajevo, connu en Bosnie et dans certains pays voisins. Le groupe a son public, qui connait la plupart des chansons et les reprend en choeur. As we mentioned in our previous articles about Bosnia & Herzegovina, we encountered the Tribun Band during their concert in the town called Mostar. This band is quite liked by the Mostar audience, as they were singing along with almost all the songs. The band is originally from Sarajevo. Please take a look and enjoy of this video we have taken from Niaz in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Niaz is a great accordion player and masters the intsrument greatly despite of the number of drinks he already had. Enjoy as you can see I am enjoying!!!!
Voici une video d'une rencontre fortuite dans un petit restaurant de Sarajevo, Bosnie. Niaz joue un medley pour Harrriette, un pur moment de romantisme ! Niaz est visiblement amoureux lui aussi de son instrument. Il en joue merveilleusement bien, ceci malgre la quantite d'alcool ingurgite ce soir la. Le medley a dure dix minutes, en voici deux. Bon voyage !

Voici une video de Naat Veliov, le trompetiste , fondateur et leader du groupe Kocani Orkestar (rebaptise Original Kocani Orkestar). Ici sur une petite improvisation chez lui, a Kocani, en Macedoine. Naat joue de la trompette depuis qu'il est enfant et dit etre "tres amoureux" de cet instrument. Visiblement il le lui rend bien. La preuve.
This is "King" Naat Veliov, trumpet player, funder and leader of the band "Original Kocani Orkestar". Here you will see an improvisation at his house in the city of Kocani, Macedonia (FYROM). Naat is playing trumpet since he is a child, like his father, like his son...he says to be very in love with this intrument. We can see it on this video, no ?

Voici une video faite pendant l'enregistrement du groupe Original Kocani Orkestar (feat.Naat Veliov) sous les toits de la maison de Naat, le fondateur et leader du groupe, a Kocani, Macedoine. Il s'agit d'un morceau traditionnel egyptien repris par differents artistes de la region, adapte ici par le groupe et baptise pour l'occasion "Oriental Kocani".
Please have a look at the following video made of a performance of the brassband called Original Kocani Orkestar (feat. Naat Veliov). Naat Veliov playes the trumpet and is the founder of the group. The musicians are all from Macedonia, and from the town called Kocani. In the images you will see the group is interpreting a traditional eqyptian song, adapted by the group. The name of the song is rebaptized with the name"Oriental Kocani". We hope you will enjoy!!

Voici une petite vidéo d'un groupe qui a bien enflammé la salle. Nous n'avons ni le nom du groupe , ni celui du morceau et la vidéo est encore très sombre (nous tenterons de remédier à ce problème lors de nos prochaines vidéos). Mais ce court extrait vous transmettra peut-être un peu de la chaleur diffusée par ce groupe grec dans un bar de Thessalonique. C'était un mercredi soir, à 2h du matin, le bar était bondé. C'est la vie nocturne de Thessalonique !
Take a look (if you can) at the folowing video. Unfortunately we do not know neither the name of the band nor the name of the song. Our intention is more to give you an idea of how this band rocked the bar on a usual Tuesday night in Thessaloniki. Hopefully we will be able to improve the quality of our video for the next time.
Nightlife in Thessaloniki is really great! Have a little fun, just as we had.
